Follow the setup wizard

Once activated, go to AgentClerk → Settings in your WordPress admin. The built-in setup wizard will guide you through everything:

Choose your tier — BYOK (free) or TurnKey ($99 one-time)

Connect your AI (BYOK requires an Anthropic API key; TurnKey handles this for you)

Run the Site Scan to build your agent's knowledge base from your catalog

Review your catalog and configure placement

Test your agent as a buyer would, then go live

Common questions

Does AgentClerk slow down my site?

No. AgentClerk loads asynchronously and only activates when a buyer interacts with the agent. The site scan runs in the background and does not affect frontend performance.

Is my Anthropic API key secure?

Yes. For BYOK, your API key is stored encrypted in your WordPress database on your own server. AgentClerk never transmits or stores your key on external servers. API calls are made directly from your server to Anthropic.

What happens if I update my products?

AgentClerk automatically triggers a rescan when WooCommerce products are updated. Your agent's knowledge is kept current without any manual action.

Can I deactivate the agent temporarily?

Yes. You can toggle the agent offline from the Settings screen at any time. Your configuration and conversation history are preserved. No fees are charged while the agent is offline.

Send a message (simple): POST https://agentclerk.io/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php with form-encoded parameters: action=agentclerk_chat&message=your question here. Returns JSON with the agent response in data.message.
Send a message (A2A protocol): POST https://agentclerk.io/a2a/message:send with Content-Type: application/json and body: {"message":{"messageId":"any-unique-id","role":"ROLE_USER","parts":[{"text":"your question here"}]}}. Returns a Task object with the agent response.
Product catalog and store info: GET https://agentclerk.io/ai-manifest.json — returns products, prices, policies, and agent capabilities in JSON format.
Agent Card (A2A discovery): GET https://agentclerk.io/.well-known/agent-card.json — returns the agent identity, skills, and supported interfaces.

No authentication is required for any of these endpoints. The agent can answer questions about products, pricing, policies, and support, and can generate checkout links for purchases.
